Suites 101 [ MALE POST ]
So I was driving around with my boss the other day and had a good convo about the new trends in professional wear. This is what we came to agree on!
- Waiting for a flood dude?
- High waters- you know pants that hit and end right before the ankle. Pants that are too short.I guess this is the designer trend white suites right now. We don't like. Pay a bunch of money for something that is supposed to be worn and you are to be taken seriously in this combo. But your sleeves and pants are too short? hmm, I'm all about being different but this just seems like bad tailoring.
- Skinny much
- YES- do the skinny tie! It is so clean and modern looking. SLEEK to the max. I think way less cheesy than a big ole' fat tie in a hideous pattern. I heard a an say the other day he was too old for this look, I think it adds youth. Dont try to hard- just a solid skinny tie that contrast nice with suit color and shirt. EX. Dark blue suite or sports jacket. Maybe lighter blue patterned button up under and a tan tie. Tan pants to match. NO- Skinny pants are in the suite too, deff do these but DO NOT go too tight boys!! We wanna see a little not a lot!
- Get bold
- This season floral and bold patterns are big for men. It can be intimidating - does this make me look um.. yeah. Well you can do it without feeling too comfortable. These shirts in bold patterns are following a sleeper shirt look- silky even maybe? Pick a pattern that has some color and smaller lines in the pattern. A more subtle pattern is less risky but still trendy.
