SENTIMENTAL SIDE-NOTE
Hello & happy past thanksgiving! {better late than never right ?! Thats what my accounting professor always told me }
Oh there is so many things to be thankful for when you really sit down and think about. This past year has been very challenging for me personally & for my family. There weren't any tragedy's but there were many obstacles and thing's I had to realize as a 24 year old Mom. I had to grow a lot as a person which I am very thankful for but it isn't easy & it really makes you appreciate the people in your life. That's why I wanted to share this with you all maybe you'll feel less alone, connect and understand or it will make you take a step back from the materialism in life that we are enthralled with. I'm gonna list 10 simple things I realized I am very thankful for this year as My family & I persoanlly dealt with more stress than usual.
the 10 best things:
- the presence of my boyfriend & son
- healthy family & me
- being surrounded by people that I love and they love me
- laughing, smiling, playing & just being with my son
- being able to stay at home with my son full time
- living in a space that we like
- taking walks on new trails
- beautiful refreshing weather and colorful leaves
- energy
- having a creative mind and confidence to be me
When you feel heavy with stress you have two options: 1.) either break or 2.) learn to take a step back and just stay calm for a moment to see that this is all temporary & YOU have the power to change the situation.
Things can get frustrating in real adult life, bills, landlords, phone calls, insurance the list goes on but we will have to do these things forever so we mid as well get it together and not let it bring down our whole mood! That's why in life you should pick people to be around that are going to make the rest of mundane life less annoying because you can go have fun with them after you do bills, make phone calls do the trash etc!
While life has tested us personally these past few months- having my amazing Boyfriend who calms me down and brings things back to reality for me and for having my hilarious, sweet sunshine & blessing Son with me all the time I realized I have them- they love me and were in this together so really I feel like I won the lottery with that and the rest will fall into place with of course hard work behind it and no negative mindset's around it!
I am thankful for the struggle because it made our bonds stronger, made me appreciate what was all around me & remember the things that actually make me happy!
Take time to do the things that make you happy may it be art, listening to music, window shopping etc. and do something good for someone around you in need that your not looking for something in return because we may be having a bad month or week but someone is always having it worse and you can change someone's mood, day or situation- your amazing and can make a difference!
Please share your thoughts and feelings or what you are thankful for!
