HEALTHY TRAVELING!

When traveling it can be so easy to eat fast food everytime you stop. It's fast, cheap, and sometimes delish when your sleep deprived and basically living out of your car. BUT! That is no reason to not roadtrip all around & keep it healthy as much as you can.

Today I wanted to share a few tips on how I keep my family healthy while were on the go! We just travled to Savannah Ga Sunday night at midnight & stayed till Wednesday morning traveling back to Pa. THEN- home for Thursday and off to Pittsburgh friday!   ( with our 6 month old Leonardo ) he is such an amazing trooper. SO as mommabear & your health influencer here is what I suggest!

1. Take a case of water. First off it is cheaper than buying bottled water each stop, you can get a case or up to 32 bottles for around $4. Drinking water keeps ypu hydrated and suppresses the appetite, which helps avoiding the part when your just bored in the car so you eat chips or other unhealthy snacks!

2. Take fruit! Fruits that are easy to eat & aren't  messy make for a great choice to take a long. They help when trying to avoid a bad choice & give you the natural energy to keep pushing! We took apples, applesauce cups, bananas & grapes, yum!

3. Cut up veggies! I always love snaking on veggies at home or on the road. Try brocolli, carrots, cucumbers or any other veg you can easily eat and store in a mini cooler or lunchbox!

4. Take vitamins with you! Go to Walmart and buy the everyday ( women or men's ) chewables even. Although not the highest source of vitamins and minerals still enough to keep you healthy on the road and they are like a lil snack! Keep this going as part of your lifestyle.

5. Fast food healthy choices! So it may be inevitable to stop at a fast food joint here and there. So when you must try to make some better decisions on the menu! I had a delicious fire roasted salad at chick-fil-a, I suggest trying it! Try to use 1/3 of the dressing pack or skipping crutons when getting a salad! Wendy's has a great side Cesar salad for a snack or get some chili for a protein packed lunch! Opt for a wrap instead of bread. It's the small things!

Safe & healthy travles my friends! If you have any tips about traveling healthy please comment:)!
