Okay so your new to Poshmark, you loving buying & selling on the platform and your ready to take your closet to the next level. You see other posher's with 20K, 30K and over 100K followers and wonder how do I do that?! WELL that is what this blog post is here for, to teach you how to get 10k + followers on Poshmark while building a valued & trusted closet for your customer's!

1. Follow Posh rules! There are some rules and regulations on what you can/cant sell on Poshmark. Like no selling copycat items and ONLY posting clothing, shoes , accessories and makeup. Go to the poshmark website to view them in full so you don't put yourself in Jeopardy of getting banned especially if your growing!

2. Have 20+ items. This creates a legit - ness of your closet. People coming to shop are more likely to stay on your closet longer the more items you have and more likely to bundle, gaining you a bigger sale!

3. Quality photos. In this Instagram worthy life we live in these days it's almost expected to have clear images even if your "shop" is you living room and your pics are being taken on your smart phone. That is totally okay and what most of us are doing just try to get clear images where shoppers are able to easily see the item. You can grab a ring light from Amazon for less then $10 and this can give you some extra light! Have fun with this trying different back drops ( blankets/foam boards /table ) and props to make a unique setting!

4. Quality inventory. Make sure to only post items that you would enjoy getting in the mail as a shopper. No stains, no holes no smell you get the picture. You can start your inventory with items from your own closet or families to get the feel for it before you invest money into inventory. This will lead to getting positive feedback that will generate people recommending your shop and possible gaining shoutout of "this amazing closet" on social media.

5. Respond to your customers in a timely manner. If you want 10k + followers this is obviously more than just a hobby to you. You want to make a substantial amount from this gig, so treat it like a business. Answer in a timely manner and as honest as you can to best answer their questions. Good customer service never goes out of style!

6. Very detailed descriptions of your items. Even if you don't think this tiny scuff matters- it very well may to the buyer who then may feel compelled to give you a negative review and less likely to suggest your closet to a friend. All details matter here and I've learned this by getting a few responses on things not being mentioned in the listing that I would not have thought to mention so the more description- the better!

7. Share share share. Poshmark is an interactive platform so the more you share other listings the more people will share yours! Also sharing your entire closet three times a day plus any items that match the parties is going to lead to more sale, more exposures and more followers!

8. Be an active member in the community. Comment on peoples closets that you love, say thanks to people who have shopped with you and reach out to any posher's you adore!

9. List new items regularly. This will keep your closet current. So if your still not buying inventory search your own wardrobe for things you haven't worn in the last 6 months and get rid of them! Not only are you serious de-cluttering your life your growing your closet and putting cash in your pocket! Go you!

10. Have social media accounts for your closet. This always leads to more exposure to new people equaling more followers! Post items that you have for sale and images that align with your brand! Make sure to engage with your followers!

Your goal should be to become a Posh Ambassador who then gets put on the suggested user page and will gain a massive following from being apart of that group!
