THE TOP TEN CHANGES TO A HEALTHIER AND LEANER YOU!
HEY YA'LL! 10 quick tips to enhance your diet and fitness routine to get you results! We all want to look and feel great and by following the tips below you will do both! These are easy guidelines to follow and keep in mind no matter if your are transitioning into a healthier lifestyle or you are already a fit fanatic- they are staple & necessary changes and moves!
DIET:
- MORE H20: Drink as much water as you can every day! Keep a water bottle with you even when you run small errands. Keep hydrated- your body needs it & will work better when it is!
- CUT ADDITIVES: Pay attention and cut additives that are un necessary like: salt, croutons on a salad, mayonnaise on your sandwich or an over load of ketchup and BBQ. A little of this and that all through the day really adds up and will cost you your waist line.
- LIMIT ALCOHOL: not what you want to hear but it is the sad truth. BUT just be smart and balance what you drink. I love IPA's but unfortunately I can not drink all of my favorite beers every night and NOT get a beer belly! Limit yourself to two nights a week of low to moderate drinking. If you have a big night out planned- try not to drink the rest of the week. Watch out for flavored shots & drinks- they are usually filled with sugar and syrups.
- FRUIT: keep pieces of fruit on you during the day. They all are great snacks to eat and packed with energy for you!
- PORTION CONTROL: The most important thing when leaning out. You don't want to go crazy and cut out ALL carbs or something nuts like the yo yo diets suggest because- you go hard for awhile lose the weight and gain it back plus more when you start eating again. MAKE IT REALISTIC. Keep your portions reasonable- if you are having a starch for dinner it should only be around 1/4 cup- not half of your plate!
