BETTERING TOGETHER

After college, after you are used to being taught in a strict schedule since kindergarten- it can be hard to stay motivated to self learn. There are many statistical sayings of how much each year you should invest back in your self whether it be, classes, conference's, books, saving $ or anything that relates to self improvement. Ill give you my top three ways I keep investing in myself and my experinces!

1. I found that I like to attend conference's. Meeting new people and getting you out of the same places where everybody already knows you - this gives you the chance to make an impression on people and practice your professional manners! I have attended the Cosmopolitan conferences the past two years in New York City . The first year was geared towards careers in fashion. It was such an impressive event from the food, the guest speakers and the style! ( & the goodie bags ) I met a lot of other girls who inspired me who had their own businesses up and running and me and my friends were able to practice networking! Last years was not as organized or professionally an as the first year and we were staying in a super ghetto hotel in Brooklyn (SIDE STORYthere was blood on my friends sheet - we saw it once we got in the room and then the worker came up and said aw eww that's nasty and gave my friend gloves to clean it up! Ewww I guess that's what we get for trying to save $$$! )  but I was pretty happy with most speakers and Jillian Michaels was there so that was pretty awesome=) I would say go to these events with girlfriends. Make it a little road trip and an experience packed with memories!

2. Webinars! They are the newest way to learn via the web & some are FREE! My boyfriend introduced me to the beta program about online business he signed up for& we started it together this past Tuesday, It is every Tuesday for five weeks. We sit down together with our drinks and notepads and just chill and learn together.  Its fun doing it side by side so we can talk and discuss the points that are being covered and see each others point of view on certain topics. They are great to do solo too because, you can put your headphones in and dive into your own idea path! Did I mention you can find some for free... oh yeah I did but that is pretty cool=)

3. BOOKS!!!  Books are the bomb- saved the best for last! There are so many great self improvement books - I've posted about my favorite ones up to date in this previous post. But any book could be your next best investment to yourself- maybe it covers smart investments or healthy eating or learning how to speak another language! All these little things you can learn will make you a smarter, stronger, more worldly individual and in return more likely to succeed!

Always peeps, challenge yourself and invest in YOU cause YOU are worth it!

Once you have the knowledge, they cant take it from you.
