A food journal is beneficial because it makes you aware of what you are taking in daily- then you can see if you are actually eating as well or as bad as you imagined! 

TIPS:

*underline your cheats in read and see how many you  really have!

* write a number of on a scale from one - ten how good (energized/healthy) you felt after each meal ( 10 being the best- 1 being the crappiest ) 

* Set a goal for each day- it can be based on the other days previously or something you want to improve on like water intake ( in demo )
