DO WHAT YOU WANT!
I am un traditional in some ways- I may think different and I deff do not try to follow society. Not that I want to purposely rebel but that I don't want to live a cookie cutter life that "your supposed to live". I am an Aquarius and we tend to have our on way and thoughts about things and see life in our own light- I dig it=)
But the thing is- we all DO NOT think the same as humans, we all kinda think our way is "the way" and for some reason when you are pregnant everyone you see wants to tell you their takes on parenting and what you should do. Which hey friendly conversation is great- we are both having/or had babies yes cool that we have something in common but don't rain on my parade- please!
So its like when people want to tell you what you need to do, for example, go to college, and if you truly know deep down that continuing education is not for you- don't waste your time and money because a four year degree is not for everybody! And that is totally okay! I feel like people/media/idk what makes pressure to do things this one certain way when there's a million different ways to obtain a career or whatever else your facing in life. That is what is so great about life- you get to pick, out of all the options out there what works best for you! We are meant to all be different and do things the way we find most attractive.
Ahhh. I could just go on and on about it. I do things my own way- I always kind of had because its like people stop trying to conform me! The more they try- the more they make me wanna do the opposite of what they are saying. I don't mean this in an immature manner ( I guess it may sound that way) but just that there are other options/ways for things to get done. They may be more fun ( usually what option I look for:) ) they may be more your style ( oh and this option too hehe ) or just what fits you personally and that is exactly what route you should take! Do what speaks to you people- what feels best and don't let others conform you because they are not you-don't let them tame you< Thanks Miley > !
MY most recent situation for this is: cloth diapering. Once we found out we were pregnant - I explained modern day cloth diapering to my man and we both agreed it the option for us and our baby Leo! BENEFITS;
- BETTER FOR THE ENVIROMENT/LESS WASTE - ( approx. 1 ton of waste comes from each child of a family - ew ) I read an article the day I almost doubted this cloth decision that talked about how making the first small step towards something helps and if everyone just thought " oh I am one person how am I going to help the earth that much ?" that we would never make any steps forward- great thought!
- POTTY TRAIN FASTER/EARLIER-woo! Theyrecognize sooner the wet feeling.
- WAY CHEAPER ( you will save approx. $2,500 per child!! ) With cloth- you can reuse with other children or sell, plus you can get your cloth diapering collection for around $400 that would include bio degradable liners too- so you don't have to touch the messy stuff and can flush them down!
- BETTER FOR BABY'S BUM- usually no diaper rash
- WAY CUTER/NO CHEMICALS INVOLVED/SOFTER AND ADORABLE ON MY LITTLE LEO =)
SO many people said to me oh why are you doing this? It is so much more work! I'm like ^ (above reasons) plus I WANT TO! I may only have one child-I want the raw experience so pleasejust let me handle the diapers I put on my baby. But for a split second I thought I was being ridiculous for wanting to do something that many people don't do yet. I am SOO glad that I did not listen to all the negative noise on something so important!
